Magazine Printing
For magazines we recommend printing on 113gsm Digital Silk with FujiFilm Production Printer. This is most optimal balance of cost and quality, and certified by serious Sydney Artists.
In our view, printing on a production digital printer or HP indigo can create similar print results. The bigger difference comes from the paper and calibration of the colour profile. HP indigo uses offset paper which need to have better absorption (feels rougher) of ink pigment where as FujiFilm OLED machine uses digital paper which have a smoother finish for fusing. Colour profiles are adjusted on the RIP software and allows you to finetune RGB to CMYK conversion.
Most first-time print customers tend to confound paper quality and colour balance with print quality. With that said we have found that the HP Indigo generates better faces and skin tones overall.
We can print on both HP indigo and FujiFilm OLED Digital.
